Ashley George earned a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Writing and Rhetoric in Spring 2017. She received departmental honors for completing the thesis program and college honors for her GPA. She was recently admitted to ¼ø»Æʦapp's master's program where she is continuing to focus on American Literature. She also works in the university's writing center and will be a GTA in the fall. She believes these career opportunities and her admittance to the master's program were influenced by her experience in the English honors program. She was exposed to a variety of resources, skill sets, and like-minded individuals that prepared her to take further steps in establishing herself in the academic world. In the future, she hopes to pursue a PhD and continue helping and teaching others about writing and literature.
