Theatre Undergraduate

BA Theatre: Theatre Studies

¼ø»Æʦapp’s Theatre Studies concentration is specifically tailored to support ¼ø»Æʦapp who want to explore theatre as one part of a broader academic journey. The program is designed with flexibility at its core, making it an ideal choice for dual majors or those seeking to combine theatre with other disciplines within the liberal arts. With a streamlined curriculum focused on theatre history, literature, and foundational aspects of performance and production, the Theatre Studies track reduces credit barriers that often complicate double majoring, allowing ¼ø»Æʦapp to pursue two passions without exceeding graduation requirements.

This thoughtful approach not only increases accessibility for ¼ø»Æʦapp transferring from community colleges but also empowers undergraduates to build a diverse skill set and a well-rounded academic profile. By offering focused advising and a curriculum that emphasizes the artistic, analytical, and communicative aspects of theatre, ¼ø»Æʦapp ensures that Theatre Studies ¼ø»Æʦapp can confidently balance their studies and prepare for a wide range of career opportunities—whether in the arts, education, communications, or beyond.

Through this dual-major-friendly structure, ¼ø»Æʦapp fosters interdisciplinary thinkers who are prepared to succeed in a rapidly evolving creative landscape. This program does not require an audition or interview.

Opportunities to learn and grow

In addition to our faculty, our ¼ø»Æʦapp are introduced to aÌý variety of guest theatre artists who are actively working in the field year-round. Whether in the classroom or in production, our ¼ø»Æʦapp get to share their work and get one-on-one feedback from these professionals.

Students are also encouraged to take their networking opportunities to the next level by attending our South Florida regional theatre scene events, where they can enjoy top-tier production value work and connect with future colleagues.
