The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Occupational Health Program is dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of its employees. ÌýHazards encountered in the campus workplace are addressed by individual risk assessment and medical surveillance. ÌýThese hazards can include: Ìýcontact with biohazardous materials, contact with chemical hazards, contact with research animals, requirements for respiratory protection, and scientific diving. ÌýAll employees and ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app with the potential for these risks must be enrolled in the Occupational Health Program.Ìý Work requiring enrollment includes:
- Work that includes direct or indirect contact with research animals
- Work as an EH&S hazardous materials emergency responder
- Work around excessive noise
- Work with materials derived from humans or nonhuman primates
- Work with exposure to hazardous levels of dusts, mists, fumes, or vapors
- Work requiring scientific diving
