Faculty and graduate ¼ø»Æʦapp from the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering at ¼ø»Æʦapp (¼ø»Æʦapp) participated in the South Florida GIS Expo, held on August 20-21, 2026. The event brought together GIS professionals, geospatial technology experts, researchers, government agencies, and industry leaders from across the region to discuss emerging trends and innovations in geographic information systems (GIS) and geospatial technologies.

Representing ¼ø»Æʦapp at the conference were Dr. Arockiasamy , Dr. Nagarajan , and Dr. Su , along with several graduate ¼ø»Æʦapp from the department. During the two-day event, faculty and ¼ø»Æʦapp engaged with industry partners, explored the latest geospatial technologies and applications, and strengthened connections between academia and the professional GIS community.

A highlight of ¼ø»Æʦapp's participation was the strong presence of its graduate researchers. Four graduate ¼ø»Æʦapp delivered oral presentations showcasing their recent research findings and contributions to the field:
