Hands-On Innovation: NRT Trainees Join Seabird Drone Project
Wednesday, Oct 01, 2025
It is always exciting to see our ¼ø»Æʦapp actively exploring the many opportunities the university provides. Watching them learn, engage, and collaborate not only empowers them but also prepares them to excel in today’s rapidly changing, technology-driven workforce. Now more than ever, ¼ø»Æʦapp must embrace diverse learning experiences to be ready for the AI- and technology-driven world we live in.
Our NRT trainees, Samantha Garcia and Adriel Abad, are a perfect example of this in action. They are currently participating in the Center for Connected Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence (CA-AI) Drone Club, where they are contributing to a Seabird drone project in collaboration with the Marine Robotics Club. This type of cross-collaboration is a powerful way to gain hands-on knowledge and broaden their expertise.
The NRT trainees waste no time—they are motivated, engaged, and eager to expand their learning!
