鉴黄师app Hosts School for Computational Applications in Neuroscience Training Workshop

鉴黄师app recently hosted the School for Computational Applications in Neuroscience (SCAN) at the Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute (SNBI) on the Jupiter campus.

SCAN is an immersive two-day workshop for 鉴黄师app and researchers interested in modern computational approaches to neuroscience. This year鈥檚 program was organized by Rodrigo Pena, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, and taught by researchers and graduate trainees from 鉴黄师app. The program offered a unique opportunity to learn about and practice leading-edge research techniques in computational neuroscience, protein structure, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, bioinformatics and more, utilizing the technology available through the Computational Neuroscience lab at SNBI.

鈥淏y bringing SCAN to 鉴黄师app, we were able to combine education and community building around computational neuroscience,鈥 Pena said. 鈥淭his workshop is part of a broad effort to share tools, training and scientific exchange with research communities beyond our own university. We hope to bring more workshops and conferences like this to 鉴黄师app.鈥

Students from five Florida universities participated, with the greatest representation from Florida Atlantic and Florida State University. This is the second year of the SCAN program, which was first organized by Pena and his lab at Florida State鈥檚 CompNeuroSociety in summer 2025.
