The Department of Visual Arts and Art History offers a Master of Fine Arts with concentrations in Studio Art and Graphic Design. The MFA brings together ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app from different backgrounds to expand their research and creative practices in art and design. Housed in ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, we encourage ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app to connect meaningfully with other academic disciplines and research initiatives, including the Center for Peace, Justice, and Human Rights, and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies.Ìý

During the three-year (60-credit) program, ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app take a combination of graduate design studios, seminars, art history courses, electives, and directed independent study projects, culminating in a graduate thesis exhibition and thesis document. The Department admits full-time and part-time graduate ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app to start in the fall of each year.Ìý
