Buildings and Grounds is a service organization of people committed to providing ¼ø»Æʦapp, faculty, staff, and University visitors with the facilities and services required to achieve the University's goals and missions.
Description of Department's Key Services
- Writes bid documents, selects and oversees contracted custodial services
- Performs classroom and special event set ups
- Oversees energy management system operations
- Performs minor maintenance including painting, light bulb replacement, air conditioning adjustments, plumbing repairs, furniture repairs, electrical repairs, maintains RO Plant.
- Performs small moves within and between campuses
- Writes bid documents and contract for major maintenance including landscape, elevator fire sprinklers, fire alarms, air conditioning, generators, etc.
- Institutes procedures to save energy including recycling
