Direct Support Organizations

ʦapp (ʦapp) has five (5) direct support organizations (DSOs) that are organized and operated exclusively to receive, hold, invest, and administer property and to make expenditures to or for the benefit of ʦapp. Each of ʦapp’s DSOs were certified by the ʦapp Board of Trustees to be operating in a manner consistent with the goals of ʦapp and in the best interest of the State of Florida.

ʦapp’s DSOs provide University support and service in many areas including fundraising, research administration, clinical practice operations, financial endeavors, facilities acquisition, construction and management, debt structuring, and public-private partnerships.

ʦapp DSO operations are directly aligned with the university’s strategic research, education, and service missions, and are overseen by the ʦapp Board of Trustees and the Florida Board of Governors.

Each ʦapp DSO is a Florida not-for-profit, federally tax-exempt corporation and certified by the ʦapp Board of Trustees as a direct support organization of ʦapp under Florida law.

Each ʦapp DSO provides equal employment opportunities for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other basis protected by law
