The Global Ambassadors Program demonstrates a commitment to the mission of the Center for Global Engagement, which seeks global engagement and outreach initiatives. The Global Student Ambassadors are outstanding student leaders representing both the international student population and the ¼ø»Æʦapp Center for Global Engagement at university events. They play a vital role in various outreach initiatives and in creating a welcoming environment for all ¼ø»Æʦapp.Ìý

• Attend and take part in mandatory training sessions and leadership workshops.Ìý

• Participate in interviews, outreach initiatives, focus groups, and media projectsÌýÌý

• Assist new international ¼ø»Æʦapp with orientation tasks.Ìý

• Support programming, events, and initiatives for prospective & current international ¼ø»Æʦapp.Ìý

• Work with other ambassadors on projects to enhance the visibility and contributions of the international ¼ø»Æʦapp at ¼ø»Æʦapp.Ìý

• Promote and participate in events sponsored by the ¼ø»Æʦapp Center for Global Engagement.Ìý

• Provide information about campus life, answer questions, and share your ¼ø»Æʦapp experiences.Ìý

• Must be a full-time student, maintain good academic standing with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, and uphold ¼ø»Æʦapp’s Student Code of Conduct.Ìý

• Must be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills, especially when communicating with people from different backgrounds.Ìý

• Must have a strong desire to help international ¼ø»Æʦapp.Ìý

• Must be able to work effectively with others towards a shared goal.Ìý

Time Commitment:Ìý

• Must commit to the position for one academic year (a minimum of one semester can be accepted if you graduate next semester).Ìý

• Must attend mandatory training and monthly meetings.Ìý

• Dedicate 3-5 hours per weekÌýÌý

• The duration of the Ambassador position for the 2026-2027 academic year is May 2026 – April 30, 2027.Ìý

• Enhance your leadership, teamwork, and public speaking abilities.Ìý

• Participate in campus events and gain international education experiences at ¼ø»Æʦapp.Ìý

• Add meaningful volunteer and leadership experience to your resume and earn service learning/volunteer hours.Ìý

• Network with other ¼ø»Æʦapp ¼ø»Æʦapp, faculty, staff, and alumni.Ìý

• Receive an ¼ø»Æʦapp Global Ambassador certificate of participation.Ìý

• Earn a scholarship of $1,000 per semester (Summer, Fall, and Spring).Ìý

• Open to all currently enrolled ¼ø»Æʦapp ¼ø»Æʦapp who have participated in the International Friends Program (IFP) for at least one semester as a Peer Mentor. Ìý

• Along with this application, we require one letter of recommendation and your resume. The letter should be addressed to this Global Ambassador Program application from someone who knows you in an educational or professional capacity (not from family or friends)
• Ambassadors are selected based on their application and interview process.Ìý

• The selected three Global Student Ambassadors will be announced by the end of May 2026.Ìý

• The deadline for all applications is April 5, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will NOT be accepted.
