Bystander Intervention Training
Owls are ethical bystanders who do something when they see something. This interactive discussion helps ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app recognize the ways in which we can have a positive impact by watching out for each other.
During this presentation, ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will:
- Learn the key steps to being an ethical bystander
- Identify reasons why bystanders are hesitant to intervene
- Learn about resources they can turn to for assistance

Sexy times with Owls Care – Making safer sex decisions
Staying safe during sexual activity is vital information for all college ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Gain appropriate protective knowledge regarding methods of safer sex
- Learn about sexual health on ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app’s campus
- Practice skills related to safer sex methods
- Discuss sexually transmitted infections.

College life is filled with challenges, many of which can be stressful. This workshop presents a realistic approach to managing stress as a college student.
During this presentation, ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will:
- Learn about the impact of stress
- Recognize symptoms of stress
- Practice stress management techniques

C.L.A.S.P: Suicide Prevention Training
C.L.A.S.P. is a 90-minute upstander (ethical bystander) training for suicide prevention. This training was developed by universities and colleges across Florida in order to empower ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app to have empathetic conversations with peers who may be showing signs of suicidal ideation and refer them to appropriate resources.Ìý
During this training ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will:
- Identify the importance of upstander training
- Recognize prevalence, risk factors, and warning signs of suicide
- Practice talking to a peer about suicide and other important skills
- Discover on-campus resources
