The Professional English Language Support (PELS)’s mission is to provide resources and instruction to help all ¼ø»Æʦapp, including domestic and international multilingual and multidialectal ¼ø»Æʦapp, attain their academic and professional goals by enhancing their writing and speaking skills and to provide faculty with support specific to teaching professional English writing.Ìý
The PELS Program offers free 10-week courses, workshops, support materials, and faculty engagement.
PELS:

FALL 2026 - PELS 6003 THESIS AND DISSERTATION WRITER WORKSHOP Ìý
FREE in person 10-week course for graduate ¼ø»Æʦapp writing their theses or dissertations.
The course provides short lectures, workshop of student work, in-class writing, guest speakers, collaboration with peers, discussion on thesis and dissertation writing strategies, and field-specific resources. STUDENTS MUST BE WRITING THEIR THESES OR DISSERTATIONS WHILE ENROLLED.Ìý
