Welcome to the Professional English Language Support Program
The Professional English Language Support (PELS)’s mission is to provide resources and instruction to help all ¼ø»Æʦapp, including domestic and international multilingual and multidialectal ¼ø»Æʦapp, attain their academic and professional goals by enhancing their writing and speaking skills and to provide faculty with support specific to teaching professional English writing.Ìý
The PELS Program offers free 10-week courses, workshops, support materials, and faculty engagement.
PELS:
- Values all ¼ø»Æʦapp in our diverse community and establishes points of contact across cultures
- Serves the professional and academic needs of graduate and undergraduate ¼ø»Æʦapp across different fields of study
- PreparesÌý¼ø»Æʦapp to be valuable members of the workforce and larger society

- Supports faculty in teaching and responding to the needs of all ¼ø»Æʦapp, including multilingual and multidialectal ¼ø»Æʦapp
