Association for Women in Science at ¼ø»Æʦapp
is the largest multi-disciplinary organization for women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). AWIS is dedicated to driving excellence in STEM by achieving full equity and full participation of women in all disciplines and across all employment sectors.
Members of the community with an ¼ø»Æʦapp email address, Faculty, Student and Staff, of any gender and with any motive, benefiting or supporting Women in Science, .
In 2014, faculty at ¼ø»Æʦapp established the AWIS Affiliate Group. The Mission and Goals of the ¼ø»Æʦapp AWIS Affiliate Group are defined as follows:
- To promote diversity amongst faculty, staff and ¼ø»Æʦapp with respect to gender, race and ethnic background;
- To promote women in careers in which they are underrepresented, especially in STEM and STEM-related areas; and
- To investigate funding opportunities and initiate activities to accelerate the accomplishment of the above goals at ¼ø»Æʦapp.
