Scholarships are given out once a year for the fall and spring semesters. It is important that you submit your admissions application and all required admissions documents before applying for a scholarship. Scholarship applications will be reviewed following acceptance. Students are awarded scholarships based on academic criteria and/or need. Ask for any needed recommendations early!

Barzilay Scholarship – College of Business

This scholarship is awarded to Broward College transfer ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app enrolled in the College of Business. The recipient is awarded the scholarship for two years at $500 per semester.

Richard Snyder Memorial Scholarship – Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters

The Richard Snyder Memorial Scholarship is offered by the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters to full-time transfer ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Students must be classified as a Junior in order to be selected for this award. The student must also demonstrate a financial need and their major must be within the College of Arts and Letters. This scholarship will provide up to a $500 award per semester.

Charles Russell Massey Memorial Scholarship – School of Criminology and Criminal Justice

Junior and senior undergraduate ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app majoring in Criminal Justice, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, native ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student involved in community engagement. Applicants must have a record of service, time and energy that improves the quality of community life in the spirit of Dr. Massey. $1000

Lillian Delmarter Scholarship Endowment

The Lillian Delmarter Scholarship Endowment was established by Lillian Delmarter because she never had the opportunity to complete her formal education. Her goal is to help ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app with the ability to experience the joys of learning. Students must demonstrate financial need. A completed FAFSA is required to be considered for this scholarship.

Robert L. Schattner Scholarship Endowment

The Robert L. Schattner Scholarship Endowment is intended for ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app whose life experiences or family challenges make higher educational opportunities difficult, or to aid ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app who have unexpected financial need or unusual circumstances that arise during the year that impacts their education. Student must have minimum 2.5 GPA and must have demonstrated financial need. A completed FAFSA is required to be considered for this scholarship.

Broward College International Center Waiver

The Broward College International Center waiver is for non-resident undergraduate ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app who transfer directly to ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app after receiving an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree or an articulated Associate of Science (A.S.) degree from Broward College International Center. This waiver is valid for six (6) credits per semester for up to a total of four (4) semesters. To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum transfer GPA of 3.0. This award may be utilized during the fall and spring semesters only. For continued renewal, the student must maintain fulltime continuous enrollment status and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
