Legacy 61 is a retreat designed for first year and transfer ¼ø»Æʦapp only. Degree-seeking ¼ø»Æʦapp admitted for the Second Half of Summer 2025 and the Fall 2025 semester are eligible to attend.

Parents and family members are not able to attend Legacy 61. We encourage parents and family members to attend our annual Parent & Family Weekend, October 11, 2025, where our home team Florida Atlantic Owls take on the Blazers of UAB.

Legacy 61: The New Owl Experience will be hosted on August 11 - 12, 2025.

Legacy 61 will be hosted on the Boca Raton Campus of ¼ø»Æʦapp. Transportation during the retreat is included in the cost of registration and will be provided for all campers to and from off-campus activities.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration includes travel, lodging, meals, activities, and giveaways throughout the duration of Legacy 61. Registered attendees seeking to make a change must contact leadandserve@fau.edu no later than two weeks before the date of the event per the registration policies.

Scholarships to aid interested ¼ø»Æʦapp in attending camp are available on a limited basis. For more information about the scholarship program,

*Lodging is provided to ¼ø»Æʦapp who will NOT be living on-campus during the Fall 2025 semester.

Those ¼ø»Æʦapp who register for Legacy 61 who have housing on campus for the Fall 2025 semester will be allowed to move in early between the late morning and early afternoon of August 10, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Housing and Residential Education will be notified of the ¼ø»Æʦapp who, prior to registering for Legacy 61 have an on-campus housing assignment, so no further arrangements need to be made.

The ¼ø»Æʦapp who are not living on-campus during the Fall 2025 semester will be provided lodging in a hotel near ¼ø»Æʦapp. Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel.

If you need assistance to move in early, our Elite Owl Ambassadors will be available to lightly assist on August 10^th from 10 AM - 3 PM.

Housing and Residential Education will already be made aware of who will be moving in early from the list of registrants.

We recommend that you have your Owl Card prior to arriving at your Residence Hall. Visit the OWL Card Center to request an Owl Card in advance.

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch

For the program, you may need the following items:

• Appropriate Lounge wear/Active wear
• Sweater/jacket
• Comfortable closed-toed shoes
• Change of clothing
• Hat (optional)
• Personal hygiene items
• Reusable water bottle
• An amazing attitude!

Those staying within the hotel should bring these additional items:

• Sleepwear
• Personal hygiene items
• Other items to make your stay more comfortable

The registration fee for the program is non-refundable .

Attendance is required for both days to benefit from the full experience of building the foundation of your legacy here at Florida Atlantic.
